OUR STORY

They went first. So we tell their stories.

Tiny Missionaries is made by a family still in active ministry — telling the true stories of the missionaries who went first, for families like ours, from our home in Ohio.

Our story

My wife Mary and I (Peter) spent two years serving as missionaries in South Asia. We went to share the gospel in places where following Jesus can cost a person everything, and we came home changed by the believers we met there, who counted it worth it. We returned to Ohio in 2022, but in every way that matters, the field came home with us.

The ministry never really stopped. It runs out of our home now, and I still make trips back to the field whenever it calls. Five years into full-time ministry, our days are a strange and ordinary mix: supporting the work overseas in the morning, raising our own kids in the faith by dinnertime. The global and the everyday, under one roof.

Somewhere in the middle of all of it, we realized our own four kids deserved to grow up on these stories. Not as a history lesson to sit through, but as a show they'd actually beg to watch. These are the stories that sent us; they're part of who our family is. And we wanted our kids to know these names the way other kids know superheroes, told with the care these lives deserve and the craft this generation of kids expects.

So we started building it ourselves, with our own kids as the first audience.

Here's what our years taught us, and what Tiny Missionaries is really about: the people who changed the world for Christ were not extraordinary. They were ordinary people, afraid, unsure, often unqualified, who loved God enough to go anyway. That's something a seven-year-old can understand. And it might be the thing that sends them, one day, somewhere we never could.

Why we made it

When Jesus was asked what mattered most, He gave two answers. Love God with everything you are. And love your neighbor as yourself. Then, before He left, He gave one instruction: go — to every nation — and make disciples.

The Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Love, and then go.

Every missionary in this series lived inside those two commands. They loved God enough to leave everything, and loved their neighbors — strangers, often, in faraway places — enough to cross oceans, learn impossible languages, and sometimes give their lives. We made Tiny Missionaries because we wanted our kids to see what that love looks like when someone really means it.

The show

Tiny Missionaries follows four children — Zion, Mila, Theo, and Noa — who travel through history aboard The Beacon, guided by a mysterious figure called the Elder. In every episode they meet a real faith hero in the place they actually served: Jim Elliot in Ecuador, Amy Carmichael in India, Corrie ten Boom in wartime Holland.

These are true stories, researched carefully and told honestly — the courage and the cost, handled gently for children ages 7–12. Each child carries something the others need: Zion's courage, Mila's compassion, Theo's wisdom, Noa's joy. Together they discover that the people who changed the world weren't superheroes. They were ordinary people who loved God and went.

Two ways to partner with us

Everything we make is still tied to the mission it came from. Our family has served in South Asia with Adventures in Missions, and a meaningful portion of our net proceeds goes back to support that ongoing ministry partnership. There are two ways to stand with us — and both pour into the same family and the same work.

Support Tiny Missionaries

Soon you'll be able to become a patron — with behind-the-scenes content, early access, and the knowledge that your monthly support sustains both Tiny Missionaries and our ministry partnership in South Asia. Patreon support is a creator subscription — not tax-deductible. Tiny Missionaries is produced by Nations Media Studios, LLC.

Give to the Ministry

Give tax-deductibly to the South Asia ministry work directly through Adventures in Missions' 501(c)(3). This goes straight to the field, under AIM's oversight.

Our commitments

Scripture first —
Historically honest —
Ministry-first —

We never use God's Word as decoration. The gospel is the point, not the backdrop.

Every missionary is researched carefully and presented as a real, called, human person — courage and cost alike, never sugar-coated, never sensationalized.

We aren't a media company that happens to be Christian. We're a ministry that happens to make media.

A small studio. A big calling.

Tiny Missionaries is made by a family still in active ministry — telling the stories of those who went first, from our home in Ohio.
